Join us and Coastal Empire Brewing on September 6th from 7pm to 9pm as we raise awareness of hydrocephalus. As the name "hydrocephalus" implies, it is a condition in which the primary characteristic is excessive accumulation of fluid in the brain. Although hydrocephalus was once known as "water on the brain," the "water" is actually cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) — a clear fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The excessive accumulation of CSF results in an abnormal widening of spaces in the brain called ventricles. This widening creates potentially harmful pressure on the tissues of the brain. Attendees will receive a free pint of Coastal Empire's Savannah Brown Ale along with a glass to take home (while supplies last). Thanks to all of your continued support of all of the various causes we do monthly to help our local community!
